Hence why awareness campaigns seek to address groups of people or address issues affected by a particular situation, with the ultimate aim to inform and hopefully effect societal change. Changes that have occurred over time (and continue to change) – in human interactions and relationships that transform cultural and social institutions, and that often have profound and long-term consequences for society.
