Why did you start modelling and enter pageants

My mum won a pageant and so did my dad. It has been in my family blood. I chose to do it to build my confident. Whenever I was on that stage I felt this was my calling. I soon found out that being on the pageant platform was way more than what you see. It gave me a voice for others. It gave me a platform where people will listen to me. It combined my world of beauty and humanitarian world.

By using your platform how have you helped people over the years.

I have learned the value of people and I have learned how to understand them. This platform has joined me to the right people that have worked together with me to impact my community. I have helped many people, worked with many organizations to help people who have been living on the streets, being sexually abused, human trafficked, abandoned pregnant teens and every other type of abuse one can imagine. I believe in giving hope to people, motivating them and lifting the broken-hearted. Which has made me to create my own organization called coffee of encouragement. I do have a fb page and I am in the process of launching a website to help the public.

I would love to help all people at once and would love to be everywhere at once helping people, my passion drives me but I cannot do it alone or be everywhere at once so I have teamed up with trained people to launch my website. It will give the community instant tools and contact information from doctors, to polices to free Counsellors. These Professionals are people that put others first and have the same passion as me. I personally know them all. During my pageant platforms I have met many people who have joined with me to help the communities. I am thankful to the pageant platform for that. For giving me the chance, providing the tools and supporting me. I love my pageant family, they are a group of beautiful and powerful women.

Would you recommend this platform to other girls?

Yes definitely. The beauty pageant has come a long way. It does not discriminate woman in any form. It actually does the total opposite. It empowers you to rise up and take your place in society, it also gives you confidence that drives you to reach for your dreams. The pageants I have entered does not judge you on your age, body shape, the color of your skin, language or where to came from but it embraces all woman and brings out the true beauty in each one. Yes I always give advice to people to do a background check on any beauty pageant they enter to make sure it is legitimate and safe. Always have your family’s blessings and support to join a pageant. My parents have been my biggest supporters and their blessings have taken me a long way. I never do anything without their approval.

You are representing Canada as Ms Canada World Universal Elite finalist, what made you chose to enter. I wanted a bigger platform to represent all woman and to be the voice for the unspoken. I have joined Lea International Foundation as Ms Canada World Universal Finalist and have become their ambassador. They stand for providing free education and health to all women who have come out of a challenging past and want to rise up through education and it aligns with my values.

Through this platform as Ms Canada World Universal finalist I am helping woman by giving them the tools to free education and free health services to empower them to rise above their challenges, to overcome and to blossom in their community. It gives me the greatest pleasure to give back and to see results. I have learned in life it is better to give than to receive.

I want to put smiles back into everyone’s life, especially to those who are ready to change or are willing to receive help. The platform of Ms Canada World Universal Elite finalist has given me that voice to not just impact someone’s life but to make permanent changes in the communities and I will continue to be a strong leader, to continue to make the difference within my communities. On this platform I get to talk to woman, children and teenagers and encourage them to try again in life and teach them that life is always about second, third and forth chances and it is okay to start life all over again, take the chance and to run with it.

I have known you for a while, have followed you on your many projects. How do you have time to do all of this. Passion. Passion drives me. Passion to make the world a peaceful and better place to live in. We all want to be free and to feel the freedom. In order to do that I need to fix the broken gaps in our community. As long as I have breath and I have life, I know it’s my duty to empower all, help others to rise and to hold the hands of woman as they overcome their challenges. I know I have a calling on my life. I know God is with me and He wants me to do this. I know my path is to venture into places where the most vulnerable need help and I know before I die I need to make a good difference to mankind, to help as many people as I can and remember we are leaving this world to the next generation so let’s leave a good world to them. A good legacy.

To you what is leadership?

I believe all woman are all born leaders. To be a leader you need to give back. Be it in a small way or a big way. Everything counts. If a woman is faced with an option to help or ignore a situation, 100 percent of the time woman take the challenge to help. A true leader will put other people’s needs first and help them to rise. The bible says when a good leader is in power the people prosper in everything. And when all woman are standing together we create a powerful community.

Depending on the community you come from or economic situations you live in, you will always find woman putting others first. a girl giving up her education so her brothers can be educated, a mother putting her children and family first and giving up her dreams, a mother giving her last meal to someone else and going hungry with a smile, and so many more instances. woman hold many hats, she never gives up or never says she is tired.

To me that is true leadership. And remember every president, prime minister or famous leader always had a mother or mother figure to guide him or her and who gave birth to him. Only a leader can give birth to another leader. I have so much of respect for my mum and grandmother, the women who have come before me and all the women who have surrounded me. Because today I would not be a leader without their lessons and blessings.
