City invites input on Allan Stein Trail, River Valley Planning Modernization

Spread the love
The City of Edmonton invites residents’ input into projects, policies and initiatives that grow our communities, establish government services and prepare our city for the future. Below are current opportunities for Edmontonians to shape their city.
Changing neighbourhoods to meet changing needs:
  • Allan Stein Trail Renewal. The City is looking for feedback on two concept options proposed for trail rerouting and improvements in Allan Stein Park. Please view the options and our recorded presentation, then complete the survey by February 14 at engaged.edmonton.ca/allansteintrail.
  • 132 Avenue Collector Renewal. Renewal work is coming to 132 Avenue, and we want your thoughts on how to improve the area. Share your feedback through an online survey until February 18 at edmonton.ca/132Avenue.
  • McDougall Rezoning. Share your feedback on the proposed rezoning of a property at 11018 108 Street NW in the northwest corner of the Central McDougall neighbourhood. The proposed rezoning would allow the development of a 16 metre high (approximately four-storey) low-rise apartment with limited commercial opportunities at ground level. Feedback accepted online until February 21 at engaged.edmonton.ca/ra7centralmcdougall.
  • Westmount Rezoning. Share your feedback on the proposed rezoning of two properties at 11034 & 11042 – 124 Street NW in the north area of the Westmount neighbourhood. If approved, the proposed rezoning would allow for the development of a building up to 13 storeys with a range of commercial uses and opportunities for residential development (generally above ground level). Feedback accepted online until February 21 at engaged.edmonton.ca/WestmountCB3.
  • Boyle Street and McCauley Neighbourhood Renewal. Neighbourhood Renewal continues in Boyle Street and McCauley, and we want your thoughts on improving the area. Attend one of the community conversations from February 9 to March 2 or through an online survey. Share feedback and perspectives until March 12 at edmonton.ca/BuildingBoyleStreetandMcCauley.
Supporting healthier and more inclusive communities:
  • Balwin & Belvedere Revitalization. The City invites Balwin and Belvedere residents, business owners, or non-profits to serve on the Balwin and Belvedere Revitalization Guiding Team for 2022 and 2023. Applications and more information are available at edmonton.ca/balwinbelvedererevitalization. The deadline to apply is March 6, 2022.
Defining what Edmonton will look like in the future:
  • City Council Public Hearing on February 8. Edmontonians are invited to speak to Council on bylaws and related reportsRegister to talk online.
  • River Valley Planning Modernization. Help shape the future of Edmonton’s River Valley. The City of Edmonton is doing public engagement on the River Valley Planning Modernization project until February 14, including two online public workshops on February 7 and 8. Your input is needed to complete the Ribbon of Green and update the River Valley Area Redevelopment Plan. For more information and to provide feedback, visit edmonton.ca/RibbonofGreen.
