Sunday Read | Learn about Intervivos – A Focus on not for profits

Spread the love

interVivos is a non-partisan and registered not-for-profit serving Edmonton and its surrounding areas. inter Vivos is a Latin word meaning “from one person to another.”  inter Vivos is entirely run by volunteers who seek to cultivate leadership and make a positive impact in the community. Our mentorship programs and community engagement events have brought people together from all backgrounds since 2006.

Mentorship programs run twice yearly, and we bring together people from all backgrounds. Our mentors and protégés work on various things, such as personal growth and development, leadership, workplace challenges, career changes, building networks, questioning comfort zones, and work-life effectiveness. Volunteer mentors donate their time; protégés pay between $50-$70 (sliding scale) to participate in the program. The funds cover program costs as we are entirely non-profit and volunteer-run. We also offer at least one free protégé spot per program to a community organization.

Community engagement events allow attendees to get informed about issues that matter to them. We host speakers on topics ranging from civic engagement to current affairs. Our discussions are non-partisan but frequently include topics such as the pandemic, elections, and Indigenous issues.

We would love for you to get more involved with interVivos as a protégé and event attendee. You can add your name to our mailing list, so you don’t miss the details of our upcoming programs and events. Our next mentorship program will launch on December 13, 2022.

You can also follow us on social media!

We will also be looking soon for more volunteer board members. If you are interested in joining our organization and giving back to the community, stay tuned for details that will be released on our social media.

If you have any questions,  email us at connect@intervivos.ca.  We look forward to connecting with you, and we thank you for your ongoing support.

LCCMedia is grateful to the leadership at inter Vivos for sending this to us.
