LCCMedia Foundation, in partnership with Dexteritas Inc, will offer a community-free tax clinic in Edmonton. The tax clinic is sponsored by the Edmonton Community Foundation, Africa Centre and Black Women in Action (BCW).
The community-free tax clinic officially launches on the 1st of March. Virtual services start on the 23rd of February, 2023. The tax clinic runs from 1st March till April 30, 2023.
The clinic will offer the following options for accessibility and ease:

*drop off
*virtual services
The Community Free Tax Clinic is for low or modest-income members of the community. The threshold is $50k annual income.
The service is completely FREE!
There will be two locations in Edmonton. The clinic will operate from the Orange Hub: Mondays – Wednesdays.

Calgary Community Free Tax Clinic
The service will operate on Tuesdays to Thursdays from the Calgary Full Gospel Church. They will open from 10 am till 430pm.
Last year, the Foundation, sponsored by the Edmonton Community Foundation and Africa Centre, helped over 350 people to file their taxes in Edmonton. This is the first time they are offering the service in the city of Calgary.
The Executive Director of the Foundation, Tayo Elnathan, said in a meeting with volunteers that: “she is hoping Calgarians know that help is here for low-income and modest incomes earners to file their taxes.” She added that the threshold is $50k annual income. Volunteers will be able to help with accessing your benefits.
