NotJustYou, a non-profit organization devoted to providing support and
hope for those affected by Sickle Cell Disease is proud to announce its first-ever networking
event and stem cell drive, Cellular, on Friday, March 3, 2023.
The event will take place at the Amaleena lounge, and is open to entrepreneurs, creatives,
content creators, small business owners, artists, musicians, and anyone looking to network
and make meaningful connections in the community.
In partnership with Canadian Blood Services, NotJustYou aims to contribute to building a
a larger network of diverse stem cell donors in Canada by having a booth where attendees
can ask questions and join the national stem cell registry. Stem cell transplants are a
treatment for those with Sickle Cell Disease and NotJustYou is committed to creating
awareness around this important cause.
Reni, The Resource, is a content creator, marketing consultant, and finance enthusiast based in
Mississauga, Ontario, will be the keynote speaker for the evening. Reni aims to make
complex topics, such as financial literacy, navigating corporate spaces and entrepreneurship,
simple and accessible to all.
“We are excited to bring the community together to build relationships and support one
another in their endeavours,” says NotJustYou founder Ufuoma Muwhen. “At Cellular,
attendees will not only be able to network and make valuable connections but also make a
difference in the lives of those affected by Sickle Cell Disease.”
NotJustYou’s Cellular event will also feature a business card draw at the end of the evening,
with a grand prize of $500 cash. There will also be the opportunity for attendees to learn
about available business programs and services provided by Canadian Imperial Advantage, a
local nonprofit organization that delivers entrepreneurial training, business support,
newcomer programs for diverse communities.
