Celebrating Alberta’s culture with Culture Days
Every year, Alberta comes alive with Culture Days, featuring hundreds of free, family-friendly events across the province.
Kicking off on September 1, Culture Days is a month-long celebration showcasing the best of art, music, food, dance, and more. Throughout September, Albertans can explore numerous locations across the province, immersing themselves in the rich and vibrant cultural tapestry of Alberta.
Last year, approximately 215,000 Albertans participated in Culture Days events held in more than 59 communities. These events aim to enhance awareness, accessibility, participation, and engagement in the arts and cultural life throughout Alberta.
This year, Alberta’s government is continuing to support this cultural celebration by awarding $375,000 in grants. These funds will aid 111 organizations across 48 communities in hosting Culture Days events.
“Alberta Culture Days is a month-long tribute to the arts and culture that make our province vibrant and dynamic. Community organizations across Alberta have planned exciting events throughout September, from dance and culinary experiences to craft markets. I encourage everyone to visit the Alberta Culture Days website to find out what’s happening in your community!”
