First, we’re excited to introduce you to David Sowemimo, the visionary behind the new law firm, Watchmakerlaw.com. Not only is David a trailblazer in the legal world, but he was also named one of Canadian Lawyers Magazine’s Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers for 2024—a huge honour!
We’re also celebrating the fabulous Mrs. Angela Eweka, who recently marked her 50th birthday, a milestone worth celebrating with our community.

Tayo Elnathan, CEO of the Financial Empowerment Initiative (thefei.ca), known for their impactful annual tax clinics and the popular Money and Marriage seminars.
Ang’er, Director at the South Sudanese Community of Calgary, whose passion for working with South Sudanese youth is creating lasting change.
Pastor Dee Adekugbe, CEO of Ruth’s House Canada, which offers essential support for those affected by domestic violence, including their men’s shelter, Mandela’s House.
Bukola Ojemakinde, founder of Ladies in the Family Foundation and HERConnects.ca, who is providing crucial mental health support for women in Calgary. We’re also proud to share that Bukola has been named a 2024 Immigrants of Distinction Award finalist by Immigrant Services Calgary.
Yinka Oladele, of the Oladele Foundation and African Cancer Support Initiative, is dedicated to destigmatizing cancer through education and awareness in our community.
