The 2025 Edmonton Election campaign period starts now
Prospective candidates for City Council and the boards of trustees for Edmonton Public School Board and Edmonton Catholic Separate School Division can now submit their notice of intent to run to officially start their 2025 Edmonton Election campaigns.
All prospective candidates intending to seek and expense campaign contributions must submit a notice of intent to Edmonton Elections and have their names listed on the public Register of Candidates. Local political parties and slates of candidates can also submit applications for registration to participate in the 2025 Edmonton Election. Information on submitting a notice of intent, registering a local political party and forming a slate is now available at edmonton.ca/elections.
Returning Officer Aileen Giesbrecht will provide more details about the 2025 Edmonton Election campaign period launch at the public virtual information session today from 2 to 3 p.m. Edmontonians can email questions to elections@edmonton.ca. A recording of the livestream will be posted on edmonton.ca/elections after the session has ended.
