Don’t Get Measles — Get Immunized
Alberta’s government is taking urgent steps to stop the spread of measles, with expanded access to immunizations and a new awareness campaign to protect you, your family, and your community.
Why This Matters
Measles cases are rising sharply in Alberta — with 210 confirmed cases so far this year, including 26 active cases. To address this, Alberta Health Services (AHS) is increasing immunization access provincewide:
✅ More immunization appointments added daily
✅ Expanded clinic hours, including evenings and Saturdays, in central and south zones
✅ Walk-in options now available at some central zone clinics
For infants aged 6–11 months in the north, central, and south zones, an early dose of the measles-containing vaccine is now available, in addition to the routine childhood doses at 12 and 18 months.
