Danielle Smith to headline largest political dinner in Alberta history
The United Conservative Party is set to make history with its 3rd Annual Calgary Leader’s Dinner, headlined by UCP Leader and Premier Danielle Smith. This record-breaking event, the largest political fundraising dinner in Alberta’s history, has sold out, with nearly 2,000 confirmed attendees.
The event shatters previous attendance records: 1,750 supporters attended the 2007 Calgary dinner in honour of Premier Ed Stelmach, and 1,700 gathered in Edmonton in 2005 to support Premier Ralph Klein. Premier Smith’s leadership has now surpassed these milestones.
Since taking the helm, Premier Smith has led the United Conservative Party to new heights—hosting the two largest paid political conventions in Canadian history, building Canada’s largest provincial party, and consistently hosting sold-out events across Alberta. The UCP has also out-fundraised the Alberta NDP for nine consecutive quarters, including a 3 to 1 fundraising advantage in the most recent quarter.
