The Igbo Cultural Association of Edmonton is thrilled to invite you to a spectacular celebration of heritage, culture, and community at the 3rd Annual Iri Ji Festival. Scheduled for Saturday, August 24, 2024Β  at 1:00 PM, this vibrant event will take place at Borden Park, 11239 – 79 St NW, Edmonton, AB. Best of all, this festival is free and open to the public!

The Iri Ji Festival, also known as the New Yam Festival, is a significant cultural event in Igbo tradition, marking the end of the farming season and the beginning of the harvest. It’s a time to give thanks for a bountiful harvest and celebrate the earth’s abundance with family, friends, and community.
