Rooted and Rising – a program for men
November is Family Violence Prevention Month, and we are inviting men who are community leaders, faith leaders, mental health practitioners, and community members to join an important movement – The Rooted and Rising Men Program. Your participation is a statement of commitment to ending family violence in all its forms.
Presented by The Family Advocates Canada, this 20-month, research-based initiative will meet every first Saturday of the month, starting on the 1st of November.
This program will create a culturally safe space for immigrant men to reflect, grow, and build community.
Through storytelling, mentorship, and emotional exploration, men develop deeper self-awareness, healthy relationship skills, and collective healing.
Program Objectives:
❤️ Strengthen relationships through emotional intelligence and conflict management skills building
🌍 Foster cultural identity and belonging
💬 Promote emotional wellness by normalizing mental health conversations
💪 Redefine masculinity by challenging harmful stereotypes
🌱 Build legacy and leadership through mentorship and community engagement
If you have the capacity to co-facilitate a session, we’d love to have you. The curriculum is fully developed; you’ll be guiding a ready-to-go session that makes a lasting impact.
