June Poetry by Colleen Jantzen

I sat today
Familiar spot
Coffee in hand
Working away
Casually listening
(overhearing)
To one bombarded by another

Words
Words
Words

Words
Words
Words

Words
Words
Words

Words

With scarce a breath in between
No space/grace for the one

Overshadowed as she was

By the other

Silence
Please
Silence

Leave a little space/grace
(would you pretty please)

For she has a voice

Too
