Tayo Elnathan takes a new role for LCCMedia Foundation. She has set herself the task of talking to seniors: asking them how they got through the pandemic, mental health strategies, tips for life and more. Getting seniors to talk about their pandemic experience helps to reduce social isolation and it can also help their mental health. Many seniors are isolated. Some struggle with how to connect with technology. The broad mission of the Lit Seniors Initiative is to provide seniors with the opportunity to engage in the community by chatting about their experiences.
Her first senior was Mrs Maria Dey. The conversation centred on life in Canada, how being positive helps you get through the worst and the power of faith. All in all, it was a stimulating conversation.
