How To Grow Your Business Instagram Organically
As I have been researching this lately, I thought to do a post on how to grow your Instagram account organically. Let me know if I have missed anything.
- You need to have good content. Let’s start by understanding that Instagram is like a magazine. You need bright and clear pictures to wow your audience. People love looking at beautiful things. Make it your aim to have a beautiful page with a consistent theme and background. You need to find which filters work best for your brand and then, you need to stick with it.
- Your bio is the first thing people see when they click on your account. Instagram is a process.. people start from being strangers to followers and then eventually, they may buy from you. Your ultimate goal is to make them customers. If you follow the processes outlined here, you will be able to convert strangers to customers. Eventually. Your bio is important to draw in people to your account. Make sure your bio has something in it that will draw people in. Use the first line to your advantage. Be creative with your bio so it stands out. You need to be able to differentiate your brand from other brands. What is that one sentence that will distinguish you from the crowd? What makes your brand stand out? Why should I follow you? Sell me your product, sell me your brand. But do it in a sentence.
- Have a schedule: Keep to your schedule. If you post three times a week, your followers will know and they will patiently wait for your posts. Being able to plan your posts ahead is a good strategy. There are apps all over the place that you can use to as well. If you struggle with consistency, planning ahead with your Instagram schedule can help.
- Build engagement: Instagram is big on engagement. They want to know who liked or commented. After you posted on Instagram, wait for an hour, and then reply. Make sure you write sentences or more than four words as Instagram likes this and they will show more of your followers your content. Instagram wants more people to spend more time on its app so content that makes people stay will be boosted by Instagram. Experts say it is best to have a call to action every time you post. Guide your followers on what to comment and how you want them to comment. This works.
- Build your brand image: you need a logo. Create a great profile and an awesome bio. Make your customers fall in love with you and your brand. Let them know what problems you are solving for them. Let your customers know you are on their side. Make them feel like they need your product. Think of Instagram and your journey there as a relationship. For any relationship to grow, you need to invest your time. If you want to have a long term relationship with your customers, you need to invest time. Get committed to your Instagram feed and your followers will get committed to you. Make them feel appreciated.
- Use hashtags: By now, we all know what this means. If you sell lipsticks, don’t hashtag houses. Use hashtags that meet your customers, A good place to find hashtag is best-hashtags.com, www.tagsfinder.com, top-hashtags.com and other websites like these. The idea here is for you to get ideas. Think! what are the hashtags your customer hangs out in. Are you looking for single mums? Affirmations ? Analyze who your ideal customer is and include that in your hashtags. You are able to use thirty hashtags per post. Another idea is to go on these hashtags, go leave some comments, go and like other accounts, go and make some friends and make yourself known.
- Research your target audience: There is no point growing your account without understanding who you are looking for and where you can find them. With over 1 billion active subscribers, your customers are on Instagram.
- Use Instagram stories: they have a tendency to increase your reach. Try to do funny and quirky instagram stories as well. Apps such as Snow and Storyart are good here.
