The Immigrant Experience with Mrs Moji Taiwo

Spread the love

The Immigrant Experience Show is a new program from Diversity Magazine. The host of the newly minted show is Mrs Moji Taiwo.  She is a retired civil servant, a  best selling  author,  public speaker, business woman, community leader and advocate for family, women and children causes. She is the co- founder of the Nigerian Canadian Association of Calgary, the Yoruba Foundation in Calgary and the Women of Vision Conference, Calgary.

In the first installation, Mrs Taiwo interviews the Chief Executive Officer of Adonai Beauty – Mrs Doyin Omotara. They talk about the immigrant experience: achievements and challenges. The conversation led to a profound observation by Mrs Omotara   who revealed that she had to learn the ropes of business as a black person in Calgary at a time when there was nobody doing what she not doing. To her, people – not money- are our greatest resource. She emphasized the power of networking when promoting your business.

A very powerful episode. We encourage you to share as well.
