Edify Magazine’s Top 40 Under 40 Class of 2021

Spread the love

Honour is important concept in every community. When honour is communicated well, it ignites purposeful achievement and it brings visibility to the people who need it  most. This recognition is Edify’s way of recognising people for the work they do changing lives and making a difference in our city.

As part of their editorial culture, Edify Magazine has published their Top 40 under 40 set of 2021. Edify is one of the magazines we love here at LCCMedia.

Some of the people celebrated include: Rochelle Ignacio, our very own Andrew Paul, Azumme Degum, Claudia Yehia-Alaeddin and Michelle Okere   amongst others.

Andrew Paul is our connect and a Communications Associate at the Edmonton Community Foundation. He describes himself as a writer, podcaster and a voracious collaborator on Facebook.

Rochelle Ignacio is our very own celebrated black owned market entrepreneur. Her ideas for promoting black businesses – started in 2020 at the height of the George Floyd inspired Black Lives Matter movement-  are cutting edge and incisive.

Azumme Degun is a Career Mentorship Program Director at the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Program /ERIEC. Her story and work is inspiring and indeed worthy of the honour bestowed. She arrived in Edmonton in 2016. She found work with ERIEC. Now, she is giving back to the organisation that opened doors for her.

According to Edify, Edify magazine’s Top 40 Under 40 program honours entrepreneurs, researchers, artists, philanthropists and innovators who are doing great things for our city. These are the people who help build our city.

Edify’s top 40 will be celebrated at an event on Monday, November 8 2021 at the Winspear Centre. We join Edmonton to celebrate the people who made it into the 2021 set.
