The first LCCMedia panel was titled New Year, New Goals.
It was meant to be a holistic conversation from beauty to your finances. But our financial analyst could not attend, so things changed a bit.
The two panellists were Lola Olorunfemi, a nurse and the owner of Diamond Beauty Medispa. The second panellist was psychologist Jyening Rose. Ms. Rose hosts the podcast, ‘Or so she thought’, a safe and thoughtful space which discusses mental health in Black Canadians.
It turned out to be three women talking about life and aspirations for 2023.
The conversation was authentic as it moved deeply as it dealt with how to have conversations around racism, discrimination and most mental health issues we encounter daily.
The next panel is February 14th at 6 pm. It is titled: Celebrating Black Voices.
