Dr. John Owojori is seeking nomination as the Saskatchewan Party candidate for the Saskatoon University-Sutherland constituency.

“John has been a Saskatoon resident since 2009. Before starting multiple businesses in Saskatoon, he was involved in research at different levels at the Department of Soil Science, University of Saskatchewan, Canada. He is an Evergreen and Aspen Ridge Community Association (EARCA) board member. He is also a Board member of the Electoral District Association (EDA) of Saskatoon West – Conservative Party of Canada. John is currently the President of the Conservative Black Congress of Canada (CBCC), Saskatchewan chapter and the Board Chair of Black Professionals and Entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan (BPES)”.

“John bagged his Ph.D. at Stellenbosch University, South Africa, in 2009 and acquired two postdoctoral fellowships in Canada (2009-2011) and Germany (2011-2012). Before relocating to Canada, John was an instructor at the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria, where he researched for many years. He is a former Professor at the Department of Environmental Sciences, Faculty of Science, North West University, South Africa, and a current visiting Professor at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He is a recipient of several awards and grants during his career”.

“John is the Chief Executive and Principal Instructor at Distinct Driving School, an SGI-certified driving school in the Saskatoon area. He is also the Principal Consultant at Distinct Immigration Inc, an immigration firm that helps people achieve their dream of Canadian immigration. In addition, he is a Partner at NobleLinks

“He is married to his lovely wife Rachael, a registered nurse and a Saskatoon-based gospel artiste. They are blessed with three lovely boys and are happy to call Saskatoon home”.
