Afrofuturism is a storytelling perspective that creatively blends science fiction, history, and fantasy, offering a futuristic and empowering view through the lens of people of African descentYEG TheComeUp is an African-descent youth-led and focused collective. The event is open to all community members, however, there is a specific target audience of African descent youth (15 – 30)

The Africa Centre places a high priority on advancing gender equity and the empowerment of women and girls, viewing these elements as crucial for creating lasting solutions in communities. The Centre’s strategy involves constructing support networks to enhance community members’ lives by tackling gender-based disadvantages while also utilizing the resources available within these communities and among partners.
