Hope In This Pandemic ~Dr Jennifer Njenga Canada Home Care Group
Dr Jennifer Njenga is the CEO and Founder of Canada Homecare Group. She has lived and worked for more than 18 years in several countries including South Africa, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Dr Njenga has a special interest in Primary Care, Public Health, Indigenous Health and Maternal and Child Health. She has worked with vulnerable populations including Seniors, Refugees, and Indigenous communities.
They are a team of experienced professionals, passionate about providing personalized care and working hard to meet and exceed your expectations. Their caring team comprises of Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Healthcare Aides, Registered Psychologists and others.
Their experience stems from several years of working with seniors and those with various health challenges, in hospitals, family practice clinics, community and other work settings as well as our own family members.
Due to COVID-19 pandemic, CHG works to ensure minimal exposure by limiting the number of staff accessing the client’s home. All staff are screened daily and have personal protection available.
In this conversation, we talk about the impact of education and poverty on healthcare in Edmonton. We also talked about the lack of diversity when decisions are being made about Black people and myths about COVID-19 and vaccinations.
