Ashley Salvador Ready to Get Back to Work for Edmontonians
Ward Métis voters choose community representation over party politics
For Immediate Release — October 21, 2025
Edmonton — Voters in Ward Métis have chosen Ashley Salvador for a second term on city council, showing strong support for her independent voice and community-first approach.
“I’m so grateful to the people of Ward Métis for believing in a vision of Edmonton where everyday people can live extraordinary lives,” said Salvador. “Voters made it clear that they want someone at city hall who represents them — not a political party. I can’t wait to get back to work for Ward Métis and for all Edmontonians.”
Since the spring, more than 130 volunteers have been knocking on doors, delivering signs, and talking to neighbours. They reached over 70,000 people across the ward — a true community effort.
“This is why I love Edmonton,” Salvador added. “People show up. They care. They put in the work to make our city better — not just for today, but for future generations. This win belongs to all of us.”
Salvador’s campaign focused on practical issues that matter to residents: keeping budgets responsible, making sure public services are reliable, building affordable and connected communities, creating safe and healthy neighbourhoods with homes for everyone, and ensuring independent leadership that puts Edmonton first.
“I don’t take this responsibility lightly,” she said. “I’m ready to get started on the changes we’ve been talking about at people’s front doors throughout the campaign.”
