Funke Olokude

A longtime Edmontonian, community advocate, and policy leader, Funke has spent over 15 years working to create tangible solutions in affordable housing, health equity, transit, and economic development.

She has helped shape Edmonton’s Affordable Housing Strategy, worked with vulnerable families in the child welfare system, and built programs that connect newcomers, small businesses, and marginalized communities with the resources they need to succeed.

Funke’s leadership is rooted in collaboration and she knows the power of bringing people together to solve problems.

Her commitment to people-first leadership has earned her recognition, including Edmonton’s Top 40 Under 40, the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal, and the RISE Community Champion Award.

But for Funke, the work has never been about recognition—it’s about working with people to create solutions that make a difference.

Ramey Demian isn’t looking for a job — he’s running to shake up City Hall. A proud Edmontonian since 1983, Ramey has lived in Ward Ipiihkoohkanipiaohtsi for over four decades and built a reputation as a no-nonsense advocate for fairness, safety, and accountability.
