2024 AWE Awards Celebration: Honoring the Achievements of Alberta’s Women Entrepreneurs
Edmonton, Alberta – May 28, 2024 – Alberta Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) is excited to announce the 2024 AWE Awards Celebration, dedicated to recognizing the outstanding achievements of women entrepreneurs throughout Alberta. The event will take place on June 4th, 2024, at 5:30 p.m., at the Edmonton Expo Centre.
Marcela Mandeville, CEO of AWE, remarked, “The AWE Awards Celebration is an annual highlight, showcasing the innovative and resilient spirit of Alberta’s women entrepreneurs. We are proud to honor the nominees, finalists, and recipients for their significant contributions to our province. Their stories of determination and success are truly inspiring.”
Shashi Behl, the 2024 Celebration of Achievement Recipient, has been announced. Additional category recipients will be revealed on June 4th.
Shashi Behl expressed her gratitude, saying, “It is a huge honor to be selected as this year’s Celebration of Achievement recipient. It has allowed me to reflect on my leadership journey, the choices I have made, and solidifies my thought process that leadership is not about attaining success or money, but about how we can add value and support to others, especially women that are thinking of entrepreneurship as their path in life.”
The 2024 AWE Awards will honor women entrepreneurs who have demonstrated exemplary innovation, leadership, and impact in their sectors. The awards categories include:
Celebration of Achievement Award: Honoring a visionary entrepreneur whose success has made a substantial impact on her industry.
Emerging Entrepreneur Award: Celebrating a new entrepreneur who shows significant promise and has achieved remarkable milestones in the early stages of her business.
Upsurge Entrepreneur Award: Recognizing a female entrepreneur whose business has seen rapid growth and is poised for further expansion.
Indigenous Entrepreneur Award: Awarding an outstanding Indigenous entrepreneur who combines strong business acumen with a commitment to community values.
The event aims to serve as a powerful platform for fostering connections, exchanging ideas, and reinforcing the supportive network within Alberta’s dynamic business community.
