Happy Thanksgiving
This Thanksgiving, our hearts are full. Across Alberta and all of Canada, families, friends, and communities are coming together to pause, reflect, and give thanks. It’s a beautiful reminder that gratitude doesn’t depend on everything being perfect — it grows in the quiet moments, in shared laughter, in a warm meal, and in the kindness we extend to one another.
Canada’s Thanksgiving is a uniquely special time. Rooted in the harvest season, it’s a celebration of abundance — not just of food, but of community, belonging, and shared hope. It’s a chance to gather around tables big or small, to honour the people who make our lives richer, and to give thanks for the blessings — big and small — that shape our journey.
To newcomers, this may be your first or second Thanksgiving in Canada. To those who’ve called this country home for generations, this may be one of many. No matter where you are in your journey, Thanksgiving is for everyone. It’s a moment to celebrate community, build new memories, and share love across tables and neighbourhoods.
As we enjoy the weekend, may our homes be filled with warmth and our hearts with gratitude. Let’s take a moment to check in on someone, share a meal, lend a hand, or simply give thanks for the gift of life and the people around us.
From our hearts to yours — Happy Thanksgiving, Alberta. Happy Thanksgiving, Canada.
May your weekend be filled with joy, connection, and peace.
