Digital Skills Course for Seniors | Africa Centre
The Africa Centre is launching a digital skills course specifically designed for seniors, aiming to bridge the gap in digital literacy among older adults. This initiative seeks to provide seniors, particularly those of African heritage aged 55 and above, with essential technological knowledge, enhancing their ability to engage in online learning effectively.
Participants must commit to attending all sessions of the course.
Beginner Digital Skills Class
Targeted at English learners with minimal computer skills, this class employs repetition, straightforward vocabulary, and visual aids to facilitate the learning process. It’s crafted to assist senior learners in acquiring fundamental digital competencies, enabling them to organize their daily activities with greater ease.
- Course Duration: April 8 to June 10
- Sessions: Every Monday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Basic/Intermediate Digital Skills Class
This class caters to older students who possess a moderate to high level of English proficiency, both in writing and speaking. It’s particularly beneficial for those with scant computer experience or individuals looking to polish and expand their existing technological skills. The course includes following along with tutorials and practice worksheets for each lesson.
