- The most common tip online is don’t wear the same wig everyday. Consider buying different wigs as extensive wig usage can diminish their overall appearance.
- Wash your wig but not too often: The idea is to wash your human hair wig every 7-10 wears. There are so many Youtube videos that show how to wash your wig.
- Keep away from heat and store in a safe dry place. Human wigs are an investment so be sure to store well – preferably on a mannequin – so it can last long.
- Use the right type of shampoo, conditioner and a wig comb. Also, the way that you wash your hair and the way that you wash your wig is different, this is what you do: First, soak the wig in shampoo and water, and then comb the shampoo or conditioner out of the wig (with your wig comb). Then rinse the wig with warm water until the product is all out. Finally, comb the wig until it is untangled, and let it dry by itself. Remember that when you wash it, you don’t need to rub or massage the wig, just combing it’s enough!
